My husband was stationed at Langley for 5 years and it was an adjustment for me moving from a small town to that area.  I ended up loving it though.  There is so much to do and see.  We lived in Newport News but if you have kids Yorktown is your best bet for schools.  A lot of shopping restaurants and activities to do.  I miss it!

Amanda M. says: I'm at Langley. Wonderful schools (York county which is where off base housing is) but I don't like the area. A lot of people do though. There is tons to do here historical shopping beaches etc but it's so overcrowded. Always traffic no matter what time of day it is!
